Bradley Terreon® commercial sinks for factory restroom design offer a tremendous cost savings in the form of decreased installation time.  For example, the Express Line of Lavatories can be installed in only half the time it takes to install a china lavatory.  There are almost ¾ fewer plumbing connections required for any sink from this line.  The average sink requires over 90 connections, whereas an Express lavatory requires less than 30.

These lavatory systems are built to be cleaner and safer than china bowl sinks.  Each lavatory has an integral shelf above the water line, along with a continuous bowl.  This makes it possible to thoroughly clean the unit without water and cleaning fluids spilling out onto the floor.    It also keeps soap from spilling on the floor, which helps create a restroom environment that is safer thanks to fewer slip hazards.

In factory restroom design, not only do we want to keep water off the floor, but we also want to avoid wasting water to begin with.  It is very important to use commercial sinks that self-regulate the flow of water to the user.  The old lavatories could not do this because water flow was regulated by turning on a handle.  People could easily forget to turn the handle off, or they could turn it partly off and still leave water running.

These commercial sinks feature IR touch-free controls or push-button.  Both feature automatic shut off, so in terms of water conservation, both are equal.  IR touch-free controls are, of course, more sanitary to use because they minimize the risk of pathogens on a person’s hands being transferred to a sink surface area and on to another person’s hands.
