The Crescent 2
Lavatory is a beautiful restroom fixture that adds utility and elegance to
any location. These lavatories have become one of the latest fashion trends in
restroom design and are frequently found in museum galleries, fine dining
establishments, sports and entertainment venues, spas, fitness centers,
executive office restrooms, exclusive nightclubs, trendy hotels, women’s
restrooms and many other locations.
In addition to their sleek, low profile design they are very functional
and can serve two users simultaneously with the same forty-eight inch wide bowl.
By accommodating two users at a time, these lavatories will use less space,
water, and energy than conventional lavatories.
Perhaps the
second most distinctive feature of the Crescent
2 Lavatory after its unique design, is the material used to construct the
bowl, Terreon. Terreon is a very
dense, solid surface material that offers the building owner multiple
benefits. It is made from alumina
tri-hydrate, a blend of acrylic modified polyester resins with UV stabilizers,
and mineral fillers. A catalyst and a high set-up temperature result in an
extremely durable and vandal resistant material. Terreon is very low maintenance and
resistant to stains, chemicals, and burns.
It is also very resistant to impact which adds to its vandal
resistance. Any light surface
damage can be easily “repaired” with a gritty commercial cleaner or a fine grit
abrasive. Any chip or crack can be repaired with the manufacturer’s repair kit.
And the Terreon bowl is available in twenty-four attractive colors, most of
which resemble natural stone. Among the more interesting colors are riverstone,
jade, blue sky, mountain top, charcoal gray, and lannonstone.
The Crescent 2
Lavatory has a number of vandal resistance features. Its durable Terreon bowl
was mentioned earlier. Another
vandal resistant feature is the infrared sensor in the faucet that has been
designed to shut off the water flow after 30 to 45 seconds. If the vandal
attempts to trigger a constant water flow he will be thwarted by this
feature. Another vandal resistant
feature is the fact that the design incorporates the water supplies and
electrical outlets within the support frame. This concealment prevents the vandal
from tampering with these elements. Other parts of the lavatory are concealed as
well. The top cover, infrared sensors, and streamformers are concealed inside
the fixture and less likely to be tampered with. The optional trap cover can
conceal the valves, water supplies, and waste water connections as well. Overall, this lavatory is much less
susceptible to vandalism.
The Crescent 2
Lavatory is also relatively easy to install, which will reduce labor expenses
for the building owner. The unit is
pre-assembled, making it a standard straightforward installation. The
instructions are simple and there is only one set of water supplies and waste
outlet. With fewer connections, the manufacturer estimates that installation
time is one half the installation time of conventional lavatories.
Backed by a ten
year warranty, every Crescent 2
Lavatory with a Terreon bowl will provide the building owner and user with
years of durable service. And the design elegance is almost timeless. Being highly vandal resistant, water and
energy efficient, and low maintenance, these lavatories will accumulate savings
for the building owner for many years.
