The Diamond Metal Roll Form Bench is covered with a colorful and very attractive thermoplastic coating. This coating can be plastic or a form of plastic-epoxy and it is a very tough and durable protective coating.  Its primary purpose is to protect the underlying metal from rust and corrosion and it will perform this job for decades under normal use.  The coating is applied as a dry powder and is sprayed on the metal after the metal and the powder have been given opposite electrical charges.  This electrical process creates a very strong adhesion between the powder and the metal and it is further enhanced when the metal object is “baked” for a period of time.  After “baking” the thermoplastic coating is firmly adhered to the metal and has a very smooth surface.  The coating will not crack, peel, or warp for the life of the product.  It will resist color fading because the powder coating has been impregnated with UV inhibitors.  The thermoplastic has several other advantages which include its poor adhesion to spray paint and ease of repair. If vandals spray paint a thermoplastic coating it can be easily cleaned with an industrial cleaner.  And if the coating is ever nicked, cut or damaged it can be repaired by using an industrial heat gun to slightly melt the coating and allow it to rebind itself.

The Diamond Metal Roll Form Bench has three basic mounting options. The easiest mounting option, portable mount, is also the simplest.  Actually there is no mounting or attachments.  The bench simply rests on the surface where it is placed.  Obviously, it can be easily moved when necessary because it is not attached to anything.  Perhaps the most common mounting method for this bench is the surface mount.  In this instance, the bench owner will drill holes into a concrete or tile surface which will match the pattern of the pre-drilled holes in the bench legs.  Then bolt anchors will be installed in these holes and the bench can be bolted to the ground. This mounting option is popular because the bench remains in an exact location but can be moved by unbolting the legs.  The final mounting option, in-ground mount, is usually applied to outdoor locations where the bench will rest upon soil or grass.  Leg extensions will have to be attached to the legs of the bench and they will be lowered into pre-dug holes in the ground.  Then concrete will be poured into the holes.  The leg extensions will anchor the bench in the concrete and the bench will rest in a permanent location.

The Diamond Metal Roll Form Bench is constructed from eleven gauge steel with vertical slats 1 1/2" wide with 3/4" spaces between. Diamond shapes crisscross the vertical slats and give the bench its name. The bench is available in four, six, and eight foot lengths. The four foot bench weighs two hundred and forty-five pounds and the six foot bench weighs two hundred and sixty-five pounds. The eight foot bench weighs 300 pounds.
