 Some models of standard wash fountains can be converted to Foot Control Wash Fountains with a conversion kit. These kits, sometimes called foot treadle kits, are made from corrosion resistant materials and are easy to install. Usually these foot treadle kits are installed to give the wash fountains an additional option for water flow activation. They are designed to activate the water flow in emergency eye wash situations. The water flow can still be activated by the original method, which is usually a manually operated hand lever or infrared sensor. The installation of a foot treadle kit does not compromise the wash fountain's compliance with ANSI standards. In actuality, the kit compliments ANSI compliant wash fountains.
