A number of cleaners can be used on their surfaces without causing harm.   The coved, seamless backsplash is designed to block bacterial buildup in an area that was once notorious for being hard to clean.  Surface material is also nonporous, which makes it even more difficult for bacteria to gain a foothold anywhere on the assembly
