The needs for shower cubicles are basic and obvious.

Showers promote cleanliness and prevent odor.  In areas where there are large concentrations of people living together this is a basic amenity that makes life more livable for all.  There is also the larger consideration of health.  People who are clean are less likely to spread pathogens between themselves.

Whenever people are very active, they oftentimes injure themselves.  Minor injuries can still become infected and lead to very serious problems if the wound is not washed out.  Once again, a simple shower can prove invaluable in preventing something insignificant from morphing into something serious. 

People also feel better after taking a shower.  Some people like hot showers, while others for various reasons need a cold shower from time to time.  Showering at a rest areas or health spa gives a person the chance to ease their minds under the water stream. 

While it may not be a necessity for physical survival in such cases, it is definitely good for public relations.  It never hurts to promote something pleasant in order to attract repeat visitors to one’s location.
