Our wall mount
lavatory sinks offer a litany of unique designs and high grade
materials. Durability, ease of
maintenance, and superior aesthetics synthesize in hand washing systems that
range from single user stations to complex systems intended to service up to
four users at once.
In past decades, these
lavatories were made of either porcelain or stainless steel. They served well enough for their
purposes at the time. However,
there were a number of limitations intrinsic to porcelain that made it less than
ideal as a material. Porcelain is
not very vandal resistant. A sink made from contiguous porcelain can be
completely broken in pieces. A
porcelain overlay sink, which is made by covering steel with porcelain, is more
resilient, but it can still be chipped and cracked. In either case, this amounts to major
repair or replacement costs anytime significant damage is done to a
sink.
Stainless
steel lavatories are much more durable, and they are still
used consistently in many different commercial, industrial, and retail
restrooms. There are times,
however, when other materials are more apropos to the purposes of restroom
interior design and restroom maintenance.
This
growing line of wall mount lavatory sinks represents a whole new evolutionary
trend in the development of high grade washroom fixtures and accessories that
fuse superior functionality with the utmost cosmetic appeal.
New solid surface materials
now make it possible to make hand
washing systems out of materials that rival the finest of high grade
stone. We have all seen granite
and marble in luxury hotel restrooms that shine with a special luster that is
truly classical. These are not the
most practical materials to use in building lavatories, however. Like porcelain, they can chip and break,
and the cost of repair is even higher.
While stainless steel remains
a constant in many applications, other environments require wall mount lavatory sinks to be made from materials equal to
classical stone in appearance, but much more durable and easy to
maintain. Such materials
include Terreon, which is synthetic, high-grade solid surface material, and
Evero, which is a blend of natural quartz mixed with a number of industrial and
exotic materials that allow it to be shaped and molded into seamless
designs.
Regardless of material build,
new hand washing system designs tend heavily toward this direction of contoured
surfaces without crevices, seams, or sharp right angles. This makes deck and faucet areas much
easier to clean because there are fewer place for bacteria and grime to build
up.
Wall mount
lavatory sinks are also moisture resistant. Bacteria colonize require a certain
amount of resident moisture to multiply.
When water beads on the top of a solid surface material, most of it
evaporates before it becomes sustainable for microbial life. This same quality also makes hand
washing systems resistant to stains.
Surfaces that come into contact with any number of foreign substances can
be quickly wiped cleaned and restored in appearance. Their resiliency allows them to be
cleaned with a number of standard industrial cleaners without risk of
damage.
The new contoured designs characteristic of so many wall
mount lavatory sinks also makes these hand washing systems ideal compliments
to modern, contemporary, and luxury washroom designs. There are also a number of styles
ideally suited to building washrooms in office buildings and to restrooms in
industrial manufacturing facilities.
