Commercial Park Benches
Commercial park benches are used in office parks, municipal parks, rest stops, school playgrounds, water parks, theme parks, and even seating areas on sidewalks. These structures are made of galvanized, heavy-duty metal. They feature six basic construction patterns, and they can be mounted one of three different ways.
Companies can also choose between 16 different colors and five different styles of lettering to make logos, dedication, commemoration, and messages stand out.
The basic design concept of the commercial park bench accounts for its amazing durability. A protective thermoplastic coating covers the galvanized, heavy duty metal out of which the bench is constructed. This makes the unit vandal resistant, rust resistant, weather resistant, and theft resistant. It also prevents fading, peeling, and delaminating.
The purpose of having different colors is to make a commercial park bench aesthetically complimentary to building architecture and landscaping.
Basic reds, blues, and greens are always popular. There are also more exotic choices such as sandstone, burgundy, granite, and teal.
Six different construction patterns ensure a design build that withstands the stress of specific environments and applications.
- The Diamond Pattern– Vertical slats crisscrossed by diamond shapes
- The Expanded Metal-slats arranged in a criss-cross pattern
- Perforated Metal- solid steel drilled with one-half inch holes on staggered centers one inch apart
- Rod Style-one-half inch steel rods welded to their frame
- Wire Style- heavy-duty wire crisscross welded to the frame and form shaped to the bench
- Welded Style- individual, formed strips are welded together to create the shape of the bench
Three mounting styles make it possible to install commercial park benches in any environment.
Portable mounted units are mobile and can be placed on any rotundas, sidewalks, patios, and pathways and moved at will when necessary.
Surface-mounted units bolt to a concrete or wooden surface. This makes them very hard to steal, and helps them to also become permanent aesthetic fixtures on the landscape. Bolts and anchors pass through discs in the understructure to fasten it to drilled concrete holes.
But what do you do if you are trying to fasten these benches directly to the ground with no wood or concrete surface?
You use in-ground buried mounting. This type of mount extends the understructure 18 inches down into a hole where concrete is poured around the pipe. When it hardens, the bench is set in underground concrete and will not come out.
