Wall Lockers
Wall lockers are constructed of 16 gauge steel that offers plenty of security in high traffic and sensitive environment. Color options of gray, tan, and blue allow contractors, architects, and facility managers to match their locker assemblies to surrounding room architecture or interior décor.
Box lockers only measure 12 inches in height by 12 inches in length by 12 inches in depth. Each locker unit comes with four such compartments. This compact assembly also includes a coat rod attached to the underside of each unit. The coat rod is capable of hanging clothes on a total of 16 rods without wrinkling. Because lockers can be mounted anywhere on the wall, it is possible to place the unit high enough that clothes are kept off the floor with plenty of room for cleaning crews to work if necessary.
Some organizations, however, do not need a place to hang clothing. Either they have private closets, standard coat racks, or simply have no need for people to change into another set of clothes. Many offices, for example, only need storage compartments to lock up office supplies, or to give employees a place to store their personal valuables.
These organizations have the option of ordering wall lockers without the attached coat rod. When configured in this way, as only a horizontal row of compartments, a locker unit can be mounted on a table, workbench, or countertop and secured to the wall in the back. Examples of organizations that prefer this include offices, banks, and retail stores that do not require employees to wear uniforms.
Security is always a priority when investing in personal storage options. Wall box style lockers speak to this need with a built-in padlock hasp for organizations that prefer to use keyed padlocks to secure stored items. However, clients also have the option of ordering lockers that have built in combination locks, or combination keyed locks.
Box lockers are well ventilated, with a visible interior that can be seen from the outside. Organizations may find that this gives them an added value of security because it discourages employees from storing anything in their lockers that should not be brought to work.
If security is not an issue, another type of wall locker that may interest your organization is the solid plastic cubby locker. These open style units are moisture and vandal resistant and can be configured vertically to stand in the wall of one corner of the room.
