Aluminum Spectator Bleachers

Aluminum Spectator Bleachers are a lightweight yet durable choice for indoor or outdoor locations. Whether your favorite sporting activity is watching little league baseball practice or cheering on a soccer star, aluminum bleachers are a safe, affordable spectator bleachers choice that’s available in several different sizes.

Not every event is packed to the rafters with thousands of fans on a grandstand. Sometimes smaller spectator bleachers are just the thing. They’re also a great thing to have on hand for school photo days, because groups and clubs can get the varied height effect that presents a more balanced photo where no one has to peek over someone else’s shoulder.

Our 3-Row Steel Bleachers are just the thing for smaller spaces and groups. They’re large enough to seat as many as 30 people, and the galvanized steel construction is available in 16 different Thermoplastic color choices. Guardrail and double footboards are available separately. And if you need something more, choose our 5- or 10-row Steel Bleachers, which have the same design and options, just with a larger footprint.

Spectator-BleachersSpectator sports know no seasonal boundaries. When the weather is great, there’s baseball, soccer, tennis and other outdoor activities. And when it’s not so great, indoor activities are there to keep fans entertained. The one constant, regardless of the sport, is the need for durable spectator bleachers. And XPB Lockers has a wide range of styles, sizes, and even colors for indoor or outdoor locations.

Aluminum bleachers are a lightweight yet durable choice for indoor or outdoor locations. Whether your favorite sporting activity is watching little league baseball practice or cheering on a soccer star, aluminum bleachers are a safe, affordable spectator bleachers choice that’s available in several different sizes.

Our classic aluminum bleachers come in 3-, 5-, and 10-row configurations. And while the smaller models have optional guardrails, the larger 10-row style has guardrails built in. For something really interesting, there’s our Tip-n-Roll Bleachers. This portable style lets you collapse the bleacher assembly and tip it on its side, where bolted-n casters facilitate easy rolling to and from different locations. Sports-Bleachers

Sports Bleachers

What is the difference between elevated and non-elevated sports bleachers?

Elevated bleachers are built into a raised deck that is accessed by one or more staircases.  They also feature aisles that separate seating rows into two or more sections on either side of each aisle.  This type of sports seating is also known as a grandstand and is normally found in large professional stadiums and larger educational campuses.  Grandstands are both more complex and more expensive to install, and they are typically out of the price range of smaller schools, towns, parks, and summer camps.

Non-elevated bleachers do not have a separate deck, staircase, or aisles.  Instead, the rows of seats themselves serve a dual function as stairs.  People simply climb up the sides of the stand and move toward the center of the bench to find a seat.  Smaller stands that are only 3 or 4 rows high do not even require safety rails.  Many are portable and provide ideal indoor seating for gymnasiums in churches, small schools, and civic centers.  Fixed bleachers of up to 10 rows can also be moved with special stand movers that are sold separately.  These movers allow outdoor leagues to customize stand areas for different types of games and sizes of crowds.

Why would an organization choose non-elevated sports bleachers?

Normally they are chosen when portability is an issue.  As we alluded to above, many municipalities often use the same fields and courts for multiple types of sports.  Non-elevated bleacher stands allow different leagues to set up their own spectator areas with each new sports season.

Another reason for choosing non-elevated stands above elevated grandstands is budget.  When crowds number in the hundreds and not the tens of thousands as we see in professional sports, there is little point in spending the additional money required to build elevated stands that must follow even stricter building costs and inevitably require greater labor cost investments.  With the right non-elevated bleachers properly configured, even the largest little and municipal league crowds can be comfortably and safely seated at a price point well within the budget of a township, summer camp, or smaller school district.

What types of facilities can be fitted with non-elevated sports bleachers?

Both indoor gyms and outdoor fields can be equipped with non-elevated stand areas.  Various building codes apply in different parts of the country.  Some degree of customization will no doubt be required to accommodate these codes, but the installation of non-elevated seating is nonetheless easier and less expensive than grandstands.

Bleacher Handrails and Guardrails

1)  Why should guardrail and handrail openings be 4 inches or less?

Because 95% of all children over the age of 4 months have a head diameter greater than 4 inches and therefore can not enter or fall through the opening.

2)  Why should guardrails be designed with vertical slats?

Because it is much more difficult for a child to climb vertical slats.  Horizontal slats resemble a ladder and should be avoided.

3) Is it difficult to retrofit an existing bleacher or grandstand with Bleacher Guardrails and Bleacher Handrails?

No it is not difficult when working with people who have knowledge and experience in the field.
