Toilet paper dispensers fulfill the fundamental purpose of a restroom. As such, they should offer configurations that fit both the traffic requirements and the floor plan of the bathroom.
In small restroom stalls, single and double spool paper dispensers are often the most convenient way to accessorize the stall interior. Specific designs include single spools for very small restrooms in low traffic areas, double spools for employee restrooms in places such as small offices or retail stores, or quads that mount within the partition itself. Paper is dispensed on either side of the partition, so the accessory services two users at a time.
Jumbo or double jumbo toilet paper dispensers are for high traffic areas. We see these used a great deal in sports arena restrooms, lounge restrooms, airport restrooms, bus station restrooms, and subway restrooms. Jumbo units house larger rolls of paper and contain these rolls within stainless steel housings. This prevents toilet paper theft. There are single roll units and double roll jumbo units. In double roll units, when one roll is exhausted, the bottom access lever can be slid to the side to allow access to the second roll.
Controlled delivery toilet tissue dispensers are designed to minimize toilet tissue waste. Institutions that prefer this type of accessory include detention centers, schools, and senior citizen homes. Various models utilize a special design that features a spring that puts tension on the roll. This, in turn, controls how much paper can be taken off of the roll at a time.
In upscale restrooms, facility managers can also install designer toilet tissue dispensers. The Diplomat series dispensers are vertical, stainless steel mounts with the toilet paper roll toward the bottom of the unit. The dual-curve geometry of these models makes them more aesthetic, durable, and functional in the sense that paper can be dispensed without binding. Other Diplomat accessories by Bradley can be installed throughout the bathroom to give it a unified, consistent décor.
Toilet paper dispensers come in a variety of mounting options. Surface mounted units make remodeling easier and more cost effective. Semi-recessed and recessed mountings allow for a variety of new construction and renovation options. Partition mounted units and between partition mounts also allow dispensers to be adapted to any ADA compliant stall or toilet stall layout.

We think of a swimming pool locker room as a locker room without giving much thought to commercial restroom products. After all, many of us grew up in a locker room where there was a shower, rows of lockers, and benches between the lockers. If there was a restroom, it was very small or possibly even located in a separate, adjoining room. In many cases toilet stalls are still segregated from shower and locker areas, but this is not an absolute rule in natatorium design. Many new facilities, and especially smaller facilities in private clubs and spas, are now integrating locker areas, shower areas, and restroom areas all into a singular space.
In either scenario, XPB Locker Supply can help you with the design of your swimming pool locker room, along with the selection of the best commercial restroom products to affordably populate that design. New partitions now allow group showers to be subdivided into individual shower stalls that provide each user with maximum privacy. New plastic locker designs feature conservative width combined with exceptional interior vertical space that allows clothes to be neatly hung without wrinkling, and which keeps them dry and smelling fresh with ventilated exteriors. Locker benches can also be installed to give users additional storage space for purses, watches, other jewelry, and smaller personal items.
Swimming pool locker rooms can be divided into shower areas and restroom areas by using the same types of partitions and other commercial restroom products configured in different ways. ADA accessible toilet stalls and shower stalls can be positioned in layouts that best utilize existing floor space. If wall space is limited, high-end hand wash fountains can be used to replace traditional lavatories. Mounting options include corner wash fount units, wall-mounted units, and centrally mounted units. ADA accessible options are available in all three mounting styles.
If wall space is sufficient enough for a lavatory installation, new multi-user commercial sinks such as the Bradley Frequency can be used to integrate multi-user functionality with superior handicapped accessibility—all within the confines of limited wall space. Hand dryers eliminate the need for paper towel dispensers and prevent the problem of paper towel waste and abuse before it happens. Toilet stalls can be accessorized with vandal resistant combination dispensers that combine various personal amenities into one or two basic fixtures that can be surface mounted or recessed mounted into partitions stalls.
Each swimming pool locker room is unique in size and floor plan. Specific commercial restroom products should be chosen after we help you finalize the design, assess your budget, and find the right product for each intended task.

In the attempt to save wall space, many retail bathrooms one of the most important parts of any restrooms to be absolutely certain they are in full accessibility code compliance. This is typically less necessary than many store managers think. Users really do not care about where stalls are located, or where urinals are placed, so long as stalls are accessible and comfortable. In men’s rooms, men do not really care where the urinal is, so long as it isn’t right next to the sink where they are washing their hands. As important as stall quality is to people, and as necessary as accessibility is to persons with disabilities, the last thing a person sees when he or she leaves the restroom is the lavatory and vanity area. A negative experience in a crowded vanity area can leave a lasting negative impression on the mind that makes the user shy away from using the store restroom in the future.
When people avoid using retail bathrooms, they typically spend less time in stores. Less time in your store means less money spent on the things in your store.
It actually works against your efforts to generate repeat business when you try to force a standard toilet stall layout on your retail restroom and sacrifice the size of your vanity area to save wall space. With determination on your part, and ingenuity on the part of XPB Locker Supply, you can have our design team analyze your floor plan and develop a custom retail bathroom design that meets with accessibility code, honors personal privacy, and leaves you more room near the entrance to install a multi-user, eco-friendly lavatory system that gives both able-bodied and disabled persons a pleasant, comfortable experience as they prepare to leave the restroom.
Most stores do not have the long, rectangular restrooms that office buildings and airports have. Only the high-end department stores offer this level of luxury, and they have plenty of wall space as well. More than likely, your store has, for lack of a better term, a room that is much more “squared” in geometry and somewhat smaller than the very large public restrooms in larger buildings. In this instance, you save wall space in your retail bathroom by separating the ADA stall from the standard stalls, and by possibly mounting urinals on the far sides of the stalls rather than closer to the door. This leaves you almost half of the front wall on one side to devote to a larger lavatory and better vanity accessories to accommodate your users.

Should we economize our industrial washroom design by purchasing less expensive partitions?
No. Partitions are expensive to begin with. They carry the added higher cost of labor intensive installation. Having to reorder more partitions, possibly pay to customize them, and then reinstall your entire stall layout will eat up any front-end savings almost immediately. You are better off investing in solid plastic now and receiving a return in the form of lower maintenance and reduced replacement costs. Plastic is amazingly corrosion resistant, impact resistant, and, if damaged, easy to repair in house without having to pay for special repairs.
You can further economize your industrial washroom design with plastic partitions by using some of them as employee shower stalls. Individual showers, including ADA compliant showers, can be placed within these stalls to accommodate the need to wash off contaminants at the end of the shift. Using a single space for both restroom stalls and shower stalls eliminates the expenditures of building a separate shower room.
How do we create enough room for both shower stalls and toilet stalls?
You free up wall space by using a central washfountain. We recommend a standard model, centrally mounted, to leave as much of the wall open for lockers, showers, toilet areas, and urinals.
What about ADA compliance? Do we need an ADA compliant wash fountain?
No. ADA washfountains have shallower bowls. People have to wash their arms and hands longer and end up using more water. In an industrial restroom design, it is better to use a corner wash fountain or Frequency wall mounted lavatory to accommodate disabled persons. Your restroom is still compliant, but special spaces are allocated for compliance, saving overall floor and wall space in the process.
How can we build ADA stalls, standard stalls, showers, and two separate wash areas all in the same bathroom?
This always appears in impossible challenge that is really not impossible at all. Typically, the original design needs to be modified in a few key points to free up just enough room to fit all the necessary features into the floor plan. By experimenting with different stall layouts, and different locations for hand washing and/or vanity areas, we can make the existing space do everything to meet the basic needs of both accessibility compliance and workplace demand.
Can you help us with our industrial washroom design?
Yes. We need measurements and any preliminary CAD drawings to begin the process of designated precise spaces for specific functions. Fixture and accessories are easier to choose within budget once the design is finalized.

With help from XPB Locker Supply, you can save space in your small restroom without sacrificing accessibility, privacy, or comfort. The biggest challenges face those who are remodeling their restrooms and planning to replace only a portion of their existing fixtures. Or, they may have ordered fixtures from different vendors, and things such as the lavatory system they purchased represent fixed dimensions that cannot be altered. Other areas of the room, such as stall placement, stall size, urinals (if renovating a men’s room), and urinal screens are the products that have to be relocated or adjusted in size to fit the existing square footage of the room. It may also be necessary to reposition certain restroom elements in order to make everything fit.
The first step in this process involves getting a copy of the blueprints and checking for correct measurements. We can normally see, very quickly, where different sections of the restroom can be altered to increase floor areas and distances between walls. In most cases, two basic challenges face us that we have successfully worked around in a number of projects in the past.
The first challenge typically involves insufficient area between the vanity area and the far end of the restroom. There simply is not enough room, in some small restrooms, to put a row of stalls (and urinals if a men’s room) between the vanity and the wall. Rather than compromising the number of stalls, or violating ADA codes, we may recommend placing the ADA stall along the far wall itself, and positioning the other partitions and urinals differently so as to fit between the vanity area and the end of the room.
This solves the problem of saving space when the length of the room may not be enough to accommodate all that is specified. But what do you do when the room is too narrow to build partitions out from the wall without crowding restroom occupants? In these settings, we may need to alter the sizes of the stalls themselves in order to make the stall depth better fit the overall width of the room.
In some projects, we have reduced partitions width as much as 48 inches to create an enclosure that was functional and private, but that also allowed us to save space between the stall and the wall. In some small restrooms, the accessories inside the stalls made in swinging doors impractical, so we further customized the partitions with doors that swing outward, allowing for larger, multi-function dispensers and other amenities to be fitted to stall interiors.

Most restaurant bathrooms that are currently under remodel have already been built with at least one ADA compliant stall. Problems in renovation typically arise for one of two reasons. Sometimes new stalls have to be built for non-handicapped users, and there is too little room to build them with existing lavatory systems. Or, new aesthetics are required that make it difficult to fit all the necessary stalls, (and urinals for men’s rooms), lavatory decks, and appropriate accessories into the confines of the existing space.
Major changes may have to be made to the floor plan that require professional design assistance. Ambulatory or standard wheelchair access stalls may have to be moved to another wall, resulting in an entirely different restroom layout than previously existed. The number of lavatories, or the size of the lavatory deck, may need to be significantly increased to accommodate a higher number of restaurant patrons. On top of all this, a new, improved look is expected that is not easy to create using many of the standard partitions, lavatories, and accessories on the market. While these products may comply with accessibility regulations, they often lack attraction factor and end up diminishing aesthetic as a result.
Nonetheless, it is possible to remodel a restaurant bathroom in such a way as to make it even more ADA compliant than it previously was AND more attractive as a result. The key to doing so lies in a blend of design assistance and guided product selection based on design that our company has become known for. By ensuring that the facility features the very best possible use of space, we are able to then recommend a wide range of partition options, lavatory options, and accessory options to populate that space. Furthermore, many of our products are customizable so they can meet unique space restriction challenges that often face the owners of small family restaurants.
The challenges associated with fitting grab bars in with other toilet stall accessories, finding an attractive lavatory that will fit allotted space, look good, AND serve both handicapped and non-handicapped users alike, can be better overcome with this approach. Partition materials allow us to synthesize durability with aesthetics. Hardware options and customization options allow us to help you develop innovative door designs, custom depths, and increased user privacy. Lavatories such as the Frequency combine style, multi-user functionality for all persons, and superior knee clearance for wheelchair bound users. Accessory series such as the Advocate series allow us to make even small ADA compliant restaurant bathrooms appear more spacious, comfortable, and pleasing to the eye than ever before.

The Diplomat™ series by Bradley Corporation represents a superb blend of aesthetics and functionality that can make the interior of any commercial office building restroom a truly upscale, accessible, and amenable environment. These high end designer bathroom accessories feature two unique attributes that give them an almost universal appeal. The first of these is a compact design that allows them to be fitted to even the smallest of restroom interiors and toilet stalls. The second feature is a new design known as “dual-curve geometry.” This unique style has a way of adding to space without consuming it, which we will see in a moment. These products can be ordered in recessed, semi-recessed, and surface mounted styles that will accommodate any new construction, remodel, or renovation.
Let’s look first at the aesthetic contribution these commercial restroom products make. Dual-curve geometry actually adds a new dimension of form within the confines of a very compact object. While the eye actually sees an extra dimension of material around the perimeter of the product, the space around the product is not consumed. The optics of the eye and the brain then interpret this convolution of matter as a veritable expansion of space.
In small commercial office building restrooms, high end designer bathroom accessories have the effect of enlarging the apparent size of a wall or partition, which in turn makes a small bathroom appear larger than it actually is. In larger restrooms, however, they have something of a counter punctual effect. Along very long stretches of wall, positioned above wash fountains or lavatory systems, they have a way of distinguishing the surrounding space as points of visual distinction. This makes user stations, which serve a purely functional purpose, much more inviting and personal.
Because less can be done with more using the Bradley Diplomat™ series, it does not take a very large budget at all for a company to create a truly upscale restroom environment. Even with a two-stall, single lavatory layout, these products can be used to blend décor and functionality to such a fine degree that a level of design previously only seen in the largest of corporations can now be extended to the suburban office park on the borders of a residential community.
High end designer bathroom accessories also offer a high level of accessibility to disabled persons who either work in or visit commercial office building. Some are designed for ADA compliance, while others can be mounted in at any height required by Federal, state, or local accessibility guidelines.

XPB Locker Supply will Help Clients Meet all Accessibility Requirements.
Accessibility requirements for bathroom stalls vary from state to state. ADA regulations are federally mandated and as such represent a universal standard for restroom architectural design. However, these standards must be seen as merely baseline when we take into account that many areas of the United States have state and local codes that specify additional requirements for handicapped access.
To accommodate this level of regulation, XPB Locker Supply maintains a full inventory of toilet partition hardware and commercial restroom accessories that will enable contractors to build commercial restrooms that are fully up to code in their particular region.
XPB Locker Supply will Assist in Developing Your Layout Configuration.
When clients face challenging scenarios where a high level of accessibility must be provided in a very limited space, XPB Locker Supply offers detailed architectural design assistance in helping facility managers, architects, and contractors come up with the very best layout configurations for the space at hand.
ADA and other handicapped accessible bathroom stalls can be developed in freestanding layouts, corner alcove layouts, alcoves, between wall layouts, and open-ended layouts, just to name a few.
XPB Locker Supply will also customize partitions, panels, and doors for specific restroom environments.
One of the more popular customization options we offer is the European no-site configuration. This layout is ideal for public restrooms where users have a high expectation of privacy. The no-site layout eliminates the gap between the door and the pilaster, essentially creating a solid surface when the door is closed. This not only has proven very effective in restroom partition design, but also in shower rooms where exceptionally large partitions are used to create shower stalls.
XPB Locker will recommend the best bathroom stall materials and mounting style for your particular architectural design.
Factors such as the distance between the floor and the ceiling, the number of users coming in and out of the restroom during the day, and the likelihood of deliberate vandalism all play a role in determining which partition materials should be used and how partitions, pilasters, and doors should be mounted. In high traffic environments, or in places where the risk of vandalism is great, stronger materials are recommended in order to reduce the likelihood of replacement costs. When budgets are limited, mid-ranged materials with reinforced mounting styles may be substituted to strike a balance between front-end costs and long-term investment value.

How easy is it to maintain Bradley LD3010 lavs?
It is a lot easier to maintain these lavatory systems than it is many other commercial bathroom sinks. Terreon is a solid surface material that is made from recycled material. It blocks the absorption of water. This causes it to dry more quickly and to remain relatively free of stains, grime, and bacterial buildup. Thanks to the seamless design, there are no crevices or joints in which foreign agents can accumulate. It takes only a minute to wipe down the unit, and most industrial cleaners are fine to use on its surface.
Terreon can also save on maintenance costs in the long run. This is because the material is very hard to damage. It takes a great deal of deliberate vandalism to harm it. If this ever happens, expensive replacement and professional repair costs can be avoided. A simple repair kit can be ordered that is easy for any in-house maintenance worker to apply.
Are Bradley LD3010 Terreon lavs good to use in LEED projects?
Yes. Terreon is a low emitting material, which makes the OmniDeck GREENGUARD certified.
Is the OmniDeck easy to install?
Yes. It is preassembled at the factory prior to shipment. No fabrication is necessary during installation. Sinks can be ordered with faucets already installed.
Is this commercial lavatory system a good space saver?
Yes. Units can be made to service up to four users per lavatory deck. Other customizations allow contractors to order the OmniDeck in a specific set of dimensions for challenging environments where wall space may be limited. Waste receptacle openings can be cut into the deck to eliminate the need for wall mounted waste receptacles. Juvenile heights are available for public school restrooms. Units can also be customized with ADA compliant trap covers that optimize knee clearance for wheelchair bound persons.
What interior designs do Bradley LD3010 Terreon lavs work best in?
They are ideal for upscale restrooms, modern restroom designs, and contemporary restrooms. This is because the rectangular deck and bowl contributes strong linear movement and distinctive angles to the design. Linearity and angularity are attributes of formal/upscale design, modern design, and contemporary design. All three types of commercial restroom interior décor will benefit from an OmniDeck installation. The seamless design eliminates unsightly joints from the assembly, and the color options make the unit appropriate to restrooms in a broad range of building types.

The Bradley OmniDeck series of Terreon vanities represents a high performance compliment to contemporary restroom, regardless of scale and scope. There are a number of key attributes that characterize modern restroom design. When we look at the various features of this series of commercial bathroom sinks, it is almost as if the OmniDeck lavatories were build with modern and contemporary principles in mind.
One of the most distinguishing features of modern restroom design is its love for minimalism. It deliberately avoids decorative business, shows a strong preference for notable open spaces, and works to keep everything in clear, mathematical relationship to everything else. Modern interiors rely just as much on space as they do on forms within space. Clean lines, sharp angles, and basic geometry replace ornate designs, bright colors, and oftentimes overdone aesthetics.
This less is more approach to decorating works very well for many organizations that are facing budget challenges. By adopting a style that require fewer actual fixtures, but greater multiple user functionality, facility managers and architects can reduce purchasing costs without compromising quality.
Bradley Terreon vanities are ideal for modern restroom design. They feature a simple rectangular design that varies from the very basic to the more upscale and sophisticated, depending on the model you choose. This makes it possible to compliment any level of formality with a lavatory system that includes a deck, backsplash, faucet array, and multiple bowls designed to accommodate up to four users at a time in some models.
These commercial bathroom sinks also fit hand in glove with other elements of modern restroom design. The clean lines and stark relationships that characterize this style require an exceptional level of cleanliness to fully stand out. Terreon is one of the best building materials to use in such an environment because of its solid surface constitution. As a moisture resistant solid surface substance that is made from recycled materials, it takes very little time to wipe clean. It is also a low-emitting substance, which has earned it a GREENGUARD Certification that is often highly sought after by buildings seeking to earn LEED credits.
Terreon vanities are also some of the toughest commercial restroom fixtures you can buy. Terreon is highly impact resistant, which makes it difficult for vandals to attack. In the event that it is somehow damaged, it can be easily and cost effectively repaired with a kit you can order from XPB Locker Supply.
