Custom Partitions are perfect for your custom applications. Should your application be unique in terms of location, size, usage or image then we can help you. We can help you design partitions that meet your needs and wishes. What we need are your drawings, rendering, blueprints and/or measurements to begin the process. We appreciate the opportunity to develop a product that will accommodate your special application.
There are many factors to consider when designing your Custom Partitions. We consider color, pattern schemes and maintenance requirements to be some of the most important factors. However, cost, moisture resistance, vandal resistance, and construction details are also important factors to consider.
The cost of Custom Partitions will vary with the material selected for construction. As a basis of comparison, we will use Baked Enameled Steel as the “common denominator” with a cost index = 1.0. The next most expensive material would be plastic laminate with a cost index = 1.25. Phenolic (cellulose fibers impregnated with resins) would be the next most expensive material with a cost index of 2.5. After Phenolic would be Stainless Steel with a cost index = 2.75. The most expensive of all materials would be Solid Plastic with a cost index = 3.0. However, a new line of partitions has arrived called “Fusion Granite & Stainless Steel Partitions” and you can inquire as to their cost.
Your Custom Partitions can be ordered in almost any color or pattern. The baked enamel steel partitions have 18 standard colors and the solid plastic partitions have 11 standard colors. However, custom colors can be requested. The stainless steel partitions are normally available in a satin finish or 5 textured (embossed) patterns. However, you may also order custom stainless steel partitions. The plastic laminate partitions are offered in 20 color / pattern combinations but they can also be custom ordered. In additions, the plastic laminate and phenolic partitions can be ordered in almost any Formica or Wilsonart pattern.
Your Custom Partitions can be ordered in a number of mounting styles. Each mounting style has an advantage and there are various ways to match the style with the configuration of the area.
The Overhead Braced mounting tends to be the most common mounting style because it is an economical solution for areas that have heavy traffic and are prone to vandalism. These partitions are anchored to the floor and supported with a headrail that is attached to the wall. Usually the headrail has an anti-grip feature that also gives the partition more rigidity. This installation is probably very popular because it needs no special floor or ceiling construction and it is relatively easy to install.
Floor-Braced or Floor Anchored mounting is an excellent choice for your Custom Partitions when the location has high ceilings. This mounting style will retain the spaciousness of the location but it does need a minimum three inch concrete floor for anchoring.
Floor-to-Ceiling mounting offers the greatest degree of stability and your Custom Partitions are mounted to both the floor and ceiling. This mounting style is very rigid and durable and is frequently used in high traffic areas.
Ceiling-Hung mounting is an appropriate option for your Custom Partitions when your location has relatively low ceilings. This mounting style has an open floor area for easy cleaning but requires structural supports in the ceilings. This mounting style is not recommended for ceilings higher than 8 feet.
