Handwash Fountains

Handwash fountains allow many users to wash their hands at once.  They are far more efficient and cost-beneficial than traditional lavatories, and they come in a variety of configurations. 

The larger units are circular in design.  They are built to service 5-8 users at a time.  Semi-circular units are slightly smaller and service 3-4 users at a time.  Both circular and semicircular units use less space and water than conventional lavatories. 

They also come with a variety of spray head controls as follows:

·         Foot controls turn on all spray heads simultaneously.

·         IR Controls sense hand and sprays only from one head.

·         BIR works identically to IR, but it also contains a transformer that converts AC to DC and runs on 4D batteries.

·         Water volume control is also directly adjustable so that companies have more than one means of controlling both power costs and water costs.. 

Handwash fountains offer many cost saving benefits compared to individual lavatories.

To begin with, they can be installed at a much lower cost.  They are also very durable and vandal-resistant.  Their geometric shape is more attractive than that of a conventional sink.  Additionally, the simple fact that one station is equivalent to 2-8 lavatories represents additional savings in water and space conservation.

Handwash fountains can be operated at much lower costs as well

They use less water, and they rely upon a single heat source to heat all the water to serve multiple users.  In the classic circular design, a single sprayhead services multiple users at once.  This represents an 80% water savings when compared to the consumption of 5-8 individual lavatories. 

In a semi-circular fountain, a sectional sprayhead services each individual.  This saves 2 gallons of water per fountain compared to individual lavatory fountains. 

With either design, the water bill will be dramatically increased.  Water conservation is further ensured by automatic cutoff valves.

Water conservation is not the only benefit these units provide to businesses, however.  Space is a precious commodity in the manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution worlds.  While sanitation is an absolute must, conservation of floor space is also very important to cost effective operations.  Handwash fountains allow companies to save on space as well as water.

Less maintenance on these units also helps to conserve man hours, cleaning, and repair.

It is much easier to service a single fixture with a single source of water.  The bowl design is much easier to clean than a contoured (and very often very oddly shaped sink).  The heavy-duty build of these units also minimized damages and the need for subsequent repairs. 

Handwash fountains are available in many different models and material builds are available to match specific environments and applications.

There are both deep bowl and shallow bowl units.  Fountains are made to either stand alone as circular fixtures, semi-circular fixtures, or reside in a corner for optimal space consolidation.  There are many materials to choose from as well, including Terreon, terrazzo, and Bradstone.
