Our Multi-Station Sinks are offered in the “Island” or “Wall” configuration. The island configuration consists of a sink that “stands alone” similar to an island in the center of a room. Users can approach and use the sink from any direction. The wall configuration consists of a sink that is attached to a wall that multiple users can utilize simultaneously. Our Multi-Station Sinks can accommodate from two to eight users at the same time while using less water, energy and space than conventional faucets.
Our Multi-Station Sinks are ideal for facilities housing major events. Some of our customers for these sinks are hotels, convention centers, schools and universities, hospitals, and restaurants.
Our Multi-Station Sinks are designed and constructed to last many decades and to resist vandalism. They are constructed entirely from 14 gauge type 304
stainless steel and polished to a #4 finish. A type 304 stainless steel has a higher percentage of chromium plus the addition of nickel which makes it different than other types of stainless steel. It is suitable for residential, commercial, and food processing applications. It will resist most ordinary corrosion situations and it resists most chemicals.
All of our Multi-Station Sinks are extremely sturdy with legs constructed of 1-1/2 inch stainless steel tubing with 1-1/2 inch maximum adjustable-height floor flanges. On the underside of the sinks, stainless steel channels are welded to reinforce the sink above. On the island sinks, valve manifold housings are secured with vandal resistant fasteners. In addition, the sinks are supported by 4" diameter stainless steel support columns which are welded to the sink and steel channel giving the entire unit significant strength. The underside of the sink bowl includes a fire-resistant material that deadens the sound. And the sink includes a drain spread with dome grate strainer and 1-1/2 inch tubular tailpiece which drains into a 1-1/2 inch P-trap (not included). Our sinks can be fitted with faucets from a variety of manufacturers. However, we have found Bradley 90-75 Metering Faucets to be very reliable. For island sinks the faucets are secured to the sink from inside the manifold housing. For wall sinks the faucets are secured from beneath the sink.
Our Multi-Station Sinks can be combined with the actuated metering faucets mentioned earlier. They are chrome-plated cast brass on 4" centers. They are arranged for single ¼ inch nominal copper supply for cold water. The internal flow control is set to limit flow rate to 0.75 gallons per minute at 80 pounds per square inch and 0.125 gallons total flow in a 10-second cycle per ANSI/ASHRAE 90A-1980.
The cleanliness of our Multi-Station Sinks is of great importance to our customers. The following guidelines should be followed regarding the cleaning of stainless steel. First, do not allow salty solutions to evaporate and dry on stainless steel. Second, never use ordinary steel wool or steel brushes to clean stainless steel because they can impregnate the stainless steel with bits of ordinary rusting steel. Always use stainless steel wool and stainless steel brushes to clean your stainless steel. Ordinary deposits of dirt and grease can be removed with mild household cleaners. Stainless steel polishing powder should be used to remove more difficult deposits. Always rinse and dry after washing.
