What are phenolic toilet partitions?

They are toilet partitions made with a laminate that is created by pressurizing special layers of certain fabrics, treated with resin, under high heat. This turns the composite into a tough, industrial strength plastic that is resistant to water and bacteria buildup.

How durable are they?

They are tough enough to handle chipping, denting, and deliberate vandalism through gouging. They are ideal for restrooms in sports stadiums, bus stations, airports, subway terminals, and public schools.

How easy are these units to clean?

They are considered relatively low maintenance units that require little time to clean.

• Because they are moisture resistant, bacteria do not build up on them easily.
• Maintenance crews can easily wipe or hose them down. This ease in cleaning makes them ideal for restaurants, doctor’s clinics, retail establishments, and civic center restrooms.
• If graffiti is painted or drawn on the laminate with a pen, a standard industrial cleaner and a cloth can remove the stain without ghosting.

Do you have different color options?

Yes. There are 17 colors highly decorative colors you can choose from. Phenolic toilet partitions are available in basic black and white to match any number of standard interiors. Stylized color options are also available. If you have unique countertops and wall colors, you can order partitions in sandstone, wild cherry, cotta stone, and Labrador granite, just to name a few.

Do all phenolic toilet partitions mount to the floor?

No. There are three types of mounts for different sized restrooms and floor constructions.

Floor based mounts are for buildings that have high ceilings. The weight of the unit is supported in the floor bracket mounting. As long as there are 3 inches or more of concrete construction beneath the floor, they can be anchored in any high-ceiling environment. They can also be used as shower partitions.

Ceiling hung models are used in restrooms with low ceilings. They offer maintenance crews the advantage of an obstruction free floor space to easily clean because the partition bases stop just over the floor.

For bathrooms that experience heavy traffic and attempted vandalism, floor to ceiling phenolic toilet partitions are preferred. These units use a solid beam that extends upward to the ceiling and brackets to its surface. They also use a floor mount to anchor the unit to the concrete beneath the floor.

Urinal screens can also be purchased in the same material and colors.
