Framed Mirrors

Framed mirrors are so common that we often take them for granted. We do not realize that they contribute decorative appeal to bathroom interiors and save companies money on replacement costs.

The very nature of stainless steel accounts for much of this. While stainless steel isn’t really “stainless” in the pure sense of the term, it is more resistant to corrosion, stains, and rust. This makes it much more suited to high-humidity and corrosive atmospheres which are common to public restrooms and restrooms in manufacturing plants.

The corrosion resistance does more than protect the steel in the framed mirror. It also protects against silver spoilage. Silver spoilage occurs when the backing of the mirror peels off and the glass starts to look like more of a window than a mirror.

However, don’t start thinking that the resilient nature of framed mirrors makes them nothing more than plain-Jane ornaments on a bathroom wall. These mirrors have to be attractive because they are found everywhere from single-stall restrooms to the bathrooms of fine restaurants and hotels.

The standard reflective surface used to make one of these mirrors is a one and one-quarter inch glass that makes for a clean, contemporary look. Its aesthetic, though simple, goes with almost every interior decorating theme compliments many different countertops, faucets, stainless steel appliances, and bathroom stalls.

The stainless steel used to manufacture the frames has an eye-catching satin sheen that also minimizes uncomfortable reflective glare. If you have higher-than-average light levels in your restroom, this is a great way to avoid diminishing comfort levels.

Reflectivity is further assured by means of a triple silvered, electro-copper plating process that is sealed with a stainless steel backing to ensure long-lasting usage.

Framed mirrors can also be ordered with alternative reflective surfaces that are much tougher than standard glass. These include stainless steel, tempered glass, laminate glass, and plexiglass.

They are great for minimizing the risk of costly repair and replacement expenditures in areas where there is a high probability of vandalism occurring.
