Because changing room lockers come in a many different sizes, you have to think about several things before you decide on what to purchase.
The first of thing to consider is the actual amount of room space that you can devote to locker storage. You can determine this by measuring the wall and island space where the lockers will be installed. You can also send blueprints of the facility to XPB Locker for us to take a look at.
The second thing to consider is how many actual locker units you are going to need. You should always overestimate a bit because during times of peak activity you will have more guests or clients than you would normally see or even anticipate. It is never good for your organization to have to turn people away because you do not have enough lockers for everyone to use.
You should also base changing room locker size on the storage requirements of the individual end users and partly, too, on the part of the country in which you are located. If you are in the north, where it gets very cold in the winter, people will need room for heavy coat storage. You may not have this need if you are located far enough south for people to not have to wear so much protective clothing in the winter.
If you have clients who bring large back packs to the grounds, or that have to store very large gym backs or golf bags, you will probably need extra wide lockers.
You can request that your changing room lockers be fitted with any number of standard lock types. However, we recommend that you order them with the thru-bolted padlock clasp. This kind of lock is extra secure because the hasp passes all the way through the door and fits into the side of the locker. It is very difficult to break into a locker with this type of bolt secured even further with a padlock.
Because your changing room lockers arrive on location preassembled, you will not need to contract special labor to install them. Your maintenance crew can easily handle putting them up. If you are designing or overseeing a new construction, you can subcontract any number of installers to have the lockers ready for use on opening day.
