Security Lockers

Police and military personnel use security lockers to store uniforms, clothing, personal belongings, special equipment, and weapons.  Adjustable shelves allow for special storage of both large and smaller items.

Security lockers are very durable, and they are virtually impossible to break into.  They are not assembled with nuts, bolts, or screws.  Instead, they are welded so that the sides and the front pieces form one contiguous surface.  Channel stiffeners further reinforce the front corner interiors of the units to keep them from being pried open.

Security lockers are further strengthened and reinforced by heavy duty three point turn handle locking mechanisms on their door handles.  Doors are designed with built in combination locks, or they can be ordered to be used with department or division issued padlocks.  Combination locks will be keyed to a master key that supervisors or commanding officers can use to access the locker if protocol calls for this. 

This design is far superior to that of knockdown lockers that are assembled from separate sheets of metal and held together with nuts, bolts, and screws. 

Security lockers are every bit as utilitarian as they are vandal resistant.  Each locker comes with a single adjustable shelf, but additional shelves are commonly ordered so that custom storage arrangements can be made for different needs.  The ability to move shelves up or down makes these units ideal for soldiers, police officers, and officers on SWAT teams who often have to store multiple weapons, protective gear, uniforms, and special equipment in an organized manner. 

Security lockers are not just used in the military and in police departments.  They are also very popular in many schools.  In places where there is a high risk of vandalism or theft, corrosion resistant metal lockers are the way to go.  Football teams, basketball teams, basketball teams, lacrosse teams, and tennis players can all adapt these units to their particular needs.  Track and field departments can also store specific gear used for different track and field events without concern of it being lost or stolen.

Security lockers come in either a solid design or a perforated, ventilated design.  Ventilated units are recommended when sweaty or wet clothing will be stored in the unit.  However, in situations where sensitive equipment or even documents are going to be stored, privacy concerns may prohibit a view into the locker’s interior.  For these situations, a solid metal design is recommended.
