The sturdy steel frame makes the adjustable height work bench super sturdy in the most challenging of heavy duty, high pressure environments.  A ten inch riser on the back of the unit, along with a lower shelf that has a stringer attached to it, maintains lateral stability under the pressure of heavy weight.  Back and end stops also keep materials and objects worked on securely positioned on the workbench surface.
