 A. Yes.  In portable galvanized wave style bike racks are commonly used by public event planners who need to set up special accommodations for various types of guests.  Bike parking areas can be assembled quickly using portable racks.  Although these racks are not secured to the ground, security can be maintained by placing them near guard shacks or areas that are monitored by cameras.  Placing racks end to end will create as many spaces for bikes as the event requires.  When guests return home, the racks can be gathered up and conveniently stored for future use.

A. Galvanized steel coated with black powder coat or with thermoplastic, depending on what you choose.

Q. What type of mounting options can I choose from when buying a galvanized wave style bike racks?

A.  You can choose from a plate surface mount or in ground post mount.  Plate surface mounts can be placed in concrete sidewalks, rotundas, or parking lots.  In ground mounting allows the rack to be positioned in a grassy area near a walkway or parking lot. 

Q. What is thermoplastic in regard to the galvanized wave style bike rack?

A. Thermoplastic is a durable weather resistant coating that is available in 16 colors.  The advantage that it offers over powder coating is two-fold.  First, it comes in more color choices that give it far more decorative power than standard powder coating, and certainly more than the unfinished steel you may have seen in cheaper bike racks.  Secondly, it is much more durable.  Although its constitution resembles paint, it is nothing like paint.  If it is scratched or cut, a simple heat gun can close the opening.  This makes it both accident resistant and vandal resistant. 

Q. Does the Wave Thermoplastic Bike Rack come with cover caps?

A. No, but they can be purchased separately.
