What are shower wall panels?

They are individual panel showers that attach to the wall.  Each shower requires its own individual water supply.  Both standard user and ADA models are available.

What advantages do individual showers offer over group showers?

These showers are easier to configure for individual user privacy.  You can install them between the walls in an alcove, or you can install them with shower privacy partitions.

When should ADA models be used?

Some public facilities are required by law to make their showers ADA compliant.  Other facilities, such as spas and private health clubs, may not be required to do so, but may still choose to be handicapped compliant.  ADA showers feature an individual pivoting shower head affixed to a hose that can be held in one hand and passed over the entire body.  This is a great shower feature to combine with a shower seat and any one of three privacy options.

What user groups typically install shower wall panels?

Individual wall showers of this kind are popular in a variety of facilities.  Parks often install them in public shower rooms.  Spas that want to offer extra amenities to guests can install them in either a separate shower room or restrooms.  Truck stops will often install them in restrooms so that drivers can shower before they leave.  Some detention centers install them in holding cells.  Athletic locker rooms will also install them, along with privacy partitions, in either the locker room or a nearby room.

What privacy measures can be added to individual wall showers?

There are three ways you can create individual shower stalls.  One way is to install partitions and then stretch a shower curtain across the front.  In some configurations, facilities may also want to mount curved shower rods that extend out from the wall and allow a curtain to be drawn all the way around the user.  In other installations, we have also configured shower stalls with partition doors.

Shower wall panel partitions and shower doors are larger than toilet partitions. We have them special manufactured so there is less floor clearance at the bottom.  For ADA accessibility, we will have the handles customized so that the door, latch, or handle requires less than 5 pounds of force to operate.  Individual shower stall partitions can also be ordered in the no site design so there will be no gap between the partition pilaster and the edge of the door.
