The coin or token function is only part of how a multi-user keyed lock operates. Coins or tokens free up the key, allowing the user to open the locker door, store items inside, and keep the key until it’s time to remove the items. When the key is used to open the locker, the lock retains the key for the next user.
The key retain function frees up your staff from issuing keys to users as they need them. And in a lock such as ours, you determine the coin or token cost that releases the key. You can configure it to accept 25 cents, 50 cents, 1 or 2 tokens, and also choose whether to keep or retain the coins or tokens inside the lock.
Designing and buying the right locks for the lockers that your customers use is a big responsibility. You can find less expensive models that work in a similar way as the XPB Lockers Coin Operated Key Lock, but you might not get what you pay for.
