Our Blowout
Urinals are constructed from high quality 14 gauge Stainless Steel. They are very durable and are designed
to withstand vandalism and abuse.
They will provide commercial users years of service and they are an
excellent choice for high-usage commercial applications.
What is a Blowout
Urinal and how does it differ from other types of urinals? There are three basic types of
urinals: washout, siphon jet and blowout.
The washout urinal utilizes a process similar to a dilution process.
The water runs down the rim holes
into the bowl area called the sump.
As the water runs down the rim holes it washes the side walls and then it
is drained by a bottom outlet in the sump.
A siphon jet urinal is different in that it has a jet hole on the inlet
of the trapway. When this type of
urinal is flushed, a jet of water creates a stream that assists in pulling or
draining the water out of the urinal.
This method displaces / drains the entire amount of liquid when flushed
with the siphon jet action. The
Blowout Urinal is a more aggressive, and noisier, version of the siphon jet
urinal. The Blowout Urinal also has
a hole on the inlet of the trapway that flushes the entire amount of liquid in
the urinal. However, the water jet
action is utilized at a higher velocity and creates a better and more certain
evacuation of all liquid and debris in the urinal. This latter urinal is
particularly well suited for high-usage commercial applications in stadiums, airports, bus terminals,
restaurants, hotels, schools & universities, theaters,
churches, department stores, travel plazas, train stations, libraries, museums,
banks, convention/civic centers, country clubs, health clubs/facilities and
government buildings.
Our Blowout
Urinals have a number “leading-edge” features that make them the best on the
market. All of our urinals have a
continuous flushing rim which covers and washes all four walls. This washdown feature helps keep the
interior sanitized. All urinals are
built with a beehive type strainer, P-trap and vandal resistant stainless steel
trap enclosure. The P-Trap in the sump is fully enclosed without accessible
seams, welds, or crevices. Our
urinals are available in multiple configurations such as Trough and
Straddle. Also available are 3-8
multi-person fixtures and wall and floor outlets. And we have low water consumption
urinals from 1.6 to 3.4
gallons per flush.
Our Blowout
Urinals are 100% stainless steel and therefore the cleaning and maintenance
is simple and inexpensive. Stainless steel provides a hygienic surface and there
are no pores for the accumulation or growth of dirt, bacteria or mold. Common household cleaners or soap can be
used to remove most deposits of dirt or grease. Stainless steel polishing powder should
be used to remove any stubborn deposits.
Always rub in the direction of the polishing lines. Corrosive cleaners should NOT be used.
Avoid the use of cleaners with chlorides, bromides, thiocyanates, iodides, or
strongly acidic or caustic ingredients on stainless steel. Avoid the use of steel wool or steel
brushes to clean the stainless steel panel. Particles of the steel wool or steel
brushes can become lodged in the stainless steel and eventually rust. This rust is from the rusting deposits
of iron or ordinary steel that is imbedded in the stainless steel. If it is necessary, use only stainless
steel wool or stainless steel brushes on your equipment to preserve their
attractiveness and longevity.
