The Post Mount Angle Iron Rectangle Picnic Table is built from heavy gauge steel and has a single center in-ground mount for support.  The table offers two models with a four foot or six foot bench seats.  The four foot bench seat offers seating between 6 – 8 people while the six foot bench seat model offers seating between 8 – 10 people.  The four foot models weigh between 238 - 268 pounds while the six foot model weighs 305 - 356 pounds.  The table top and seats are constructed from perforated metal to allow water, rain, and snow to pass through.  The entire metal table is covered with a thermoplastic coating.  Option anti-skateboard tabs are available if desired.

It is a process whereby the dry powder and base metal are given opposite electrical charges so that the powder will firmly adhere to the metal. The metal is then heated and the powder will melt slightly and create an extremely strong bond with the metal.  The powder coating can be applied in thicker coats without running or sagging. Generally the thickness is between 25 – 30 millimeters. The frame is usually given a black coating while the table top and benches can be any of sixteen different colors.  The available colors are Black, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Bk-Green, Teal, Blue, Navy, Purple, Burgundy, Brown, Beige, Sandstone, Gray,  and Granite.

In addition to giving the Post Mount Angle Iron Rectangle Picnic Table decades of protection, the thermoplastic coating has a number of other advantages.  It is virtually maintenance free and can be easily repaired if damaged or cut. An industrial heat gun can be used to melt the damaged area and the powder coat will rebind itself.  And the powder coating is easily cleaned if spray painted by vandals. In addition, the thermoplastic is environmentally safe in a number of ways.  They emit almost no volatile, hazardous organic compounds as do other coatings such as paint.  Any powder coating overspray can be collected and reused so there is very little or no waste.  And the overall production process of powder coating produces far less hazardous waste than earlier conventional methods.
