Trough Sinks

Trough sinks feature a deep, linear wash basin (hence the term “trough”) and multiple stations designed to accommodate several users at a time. The location of each user station is determined by the position of each faucet without the need for separating partitions.  Different sizes, material builds, and lavatory designs allow industries of any kind to make the maximum use of limited space to service as many persons at a time as is feasible, hygienic, and safe.

In addition to multiuser convenience, architects, contractors, and facility managers often choose trough sinks because they are remarkably efficient at saving water. Dividing a single water source into multiple stations is far more cost effective than linking each individual station to its own separate water supply.  Various water metering controls are built into a number of our models that further regulate the flow of water and shut off the water after a set number of seconds to prevent vandals from leaving the faucets on indefinitely.

Many sports arenas and facilities that host any number of outdoor gatherings will have restrooms that are designed to service as many people as possible at the same time.  Island sinks are best for restrooms with limited wall space and plenty of floor space in which to install a central hand washing station.  Wall mounted multiuser sinks are designed for the same purpose, but work better in narrower restrooms where there is more wall space than floor space.
