Solid plastic is 100% water resistant.  Water will bead on its surface without penetrating into the material. This facilitates rapid evaporation that helps keep the unit clean.  Water resistance also makes solid plastic lockers very vandal resistant to graffiti.  Marker ink, pen ink, and graphite can be cleaned from its non-absorbent surface.  This makes solid plastic the ideal choice for dressing rooms located near school and/or public pools.

Solid plastic is also more durable for two reasons.  To begin with, it features a contiguous color that runs throughout the mold of the plastic.  No painting is ever required. The surface is also much harder to dent, scratch, or cut into than wood or metal.  If the surface is damaged by deliberate vandalism, solid plastic’s contiguous color hides damages much better than painted surfaces.  Repairing a damaged plastic locker is also much less expensive than trying to repair a wood or metal equivalent.

XPB solid plastic lockers can also be customized to the type of facility, to the age of the users, and to the number of users. For example, a natatorium dedicated only to giving small children swimming lessons can install six-tiered swimming pool lockers that will provide more than enough room for children to store clothing and personal items.  Larger facilities with more adult users can invest in very wide, single-tiered lockers for maximum clothing storage and personal item storage.

Lockers can be installed in either freestanding rows in schools, colleges, public gyms, and civic center locker rooms. Lockers can also be installed recessed along the wall.  Many country clubs, private health clubs, and spas prefer this design because it offers a more aesthetic compliment to interior architecture, decorative athletic benches, interior decorating, and room furnishings.  Various color options allow contractors, architects, or facility managers to choose the best possible compliment to their dressing room interior.

Swimming pool lockers can be highly customized and even personalized with individual name plates.  Security options that you can choose from include, but are not limited to, key locks, digital keypad locks, and coin-return locks. Many units can be further customized by various door options, side panel options, and top options.  Be sure to read our article for more details, and please take the time to look at each of our quick ship options in single tier, two-tier, triple-tier, and six-tier configurations.  Be aware too, please, that the degree of customization may depend on the tier configuration you choose.  Ask XPB Locker Supply if you have any questions.
