Welded Stainless Steel Cabinet Showers
Welded Stainless Steel Cabinet Showers are ideal for the maximum security requirements of prisons and the often turbulent conditions experienced on ocean going vessels.
The position of the showerhead in the corner of the cabinet keeps water from coming out of the entrance and making a mess on the floor. The cabinet features a large 2 and one quarter inch drain pipe and also has a reinforced receptor pan.
Welded stainless steel cabinet showers are manufactured from heavy gauge, Type 304 stainless steel. Welded surfaces are ground down to create a seamless form with no separation, seams, or voids. This prevents any part of the metal from being torn off to create a weapon in a prison environment.
A heavy stainless steel center supports anchors the underside of the receptor to the floor. Waste pipes are anchored to buffer against turbulence at sea, or at any attempt at vandalism when installed in a penal institution.
The severe service showerhead resides on the inside of the entry. Its piping is completely concealed. The stainless steel soap dish is fastened to the wall with concealed fasteners that cannot be torn off. ON the outside of the entrance is mounted a tension release towel hood.
The unit can be ordered with one of two optional valve arrangements. Both valve arrangements are chase located.
Welded stainless steel cabinet showers have valves that feature stainless steel air metering. These valves operate on 5 to 60 second timing cycles that can be only be adjusted from the chase side.
Water flow is directed through touch time controls located on the inside of the unit. When the user presses the push button, the control sends a signal through an internal, solid state, digital circuit.
This opens and closes solenoid valves. The timer is electronically controlled to operate at 60 seconds. The system either runs on 24 volt power or on 110 volts of power through an optional transformer.
In spite of its high security and rugged design, welded stainless steel cabinet showers are very aesthetic. They are coated in a number four satin finish. The receptor features a non skid surface that prevents slipping in the shower. Exposed fittings are triple chrome plated for aesthetics and corrosion resistance.
Welded stainless steel cabinet showers are built as free standing units. However, they can be wall anchored with optional anchors, which is usually the preferred method of installation in penal environments where vandalism is likely to be a problem.
