What is an individual wall mounted shower?

It is a one piece shower unit that is built into the wall and draws water from an individual supply.  Each one piece shower unit requires its own separate water supply.  However, the plumbing for this supply is completely concealed behind the wall.

Who uses individual shower units?

Hotels use them in individual rooms.  Many nursing homes have now installed them in patient restrooms.  Other user groups of one piece shower units include manufacturing plants, who often install them in employee restrooms, schools, and parks that install them in public shower facilities.

Are individual wall mounted showers ADA compliant?

How cost effective are wall mount individual showers?

You cannot beat their cost effectiveness when it comes to ease of installation.  One piece single user shower units are the preferred choice for bathroom renovations.  They eliminate the need for in wall piping and ship preassembled to the site.  Because of the simplicity with which they can be mounted to any wall, they can be adapted to any interior layout.

Why use individual showers instead of group showers?

There are some places where multi-person showers are not an option.   This is most often the case when a shower needs to be installed in a restroom that is intended for single user usage.  We have already noted that this is common in guest lodgings, hospital rooms, and nursing home rooms.  In private athletic clubs, individual wall mounted showers give members a greater feeling of privacy.  They are also much more attractive because all of the plumbing is concealed behind the wall, leaving only the face of the assembly visible.
