What is the most vandal resistant mounting style for restroom partitions and accessories?

We recommend floor to ceiling, overhead brace.  You do not have to worry about the constitution of the floor or ceiling.  It offers maximum vandal resistance in heavy traffic restrooms.  For reconstructions in school bathrooms and public facilities, it is often the best way to protect against rising vandalism in a particular area.

What mounting style of toilet partition makes it easiest to clean the restroom?

Ceiling hung partitions are the best option.  They work best in restrooms with low ceiling heights measuring 8’ or lower.  The main advantage they offer over other mounts is total floor accessibility.  Many buildings in which ceiling-hung toilet partitions are installed have very small crews.  Even if only one person is cleaning the restroom, he or she can quickly mop the floors inside the stalls without encountering any obstructions.

How do you recommend mounting restroom partitions and accessories in high ceiling bathrooms under remodel?

Floor mounted partitions are your best option.  It does not matter how high the ceiling ends up being in your new restroom design, provided that your floor sits on a 3” concrete base.  In some cases, too, floor braced partitions create a very nice aesthetic.  Many class “A” office buildings use this style, as well as high-end service industry businesses such as restaurants, hotels, and casinos.

What is a good, stable way to mount restroom partitions in office building restrooms with 10 foot ceilings?

The most stable mount is a floor-to-ceiling mount.  This style requires a ceiling of no more than 10’ in height, although it works equally well on ceilings of much lower height.  It involves mounting each pilaster to both the floor and the ceiling to create the most stable support for the stall in a heavy traffic environment.  It is not quite as vandal resistant as overhead braced, but it does stand up very well to continuous wear and tear.

What types of restroom partition accessories do you recommend for toilet stalls?

For men’s rooms, you need toilet tissue dispensers and seat cover dispensers.  For women’s restrooms, you also should consider installing napkin dispensers and napkin disposal units.  ADA stalls will need grab bars.  There are several linear designs, as well as swing away and swing up models.  For maximum space saving, you might want to consider investing in combination dispenser units or toilet tissue dispensers that service two adjacent stalls with a single fixture installed inside the partition wall.
