1. We develop shower stall layout around your measurements and floor plan.
Shower enclosures are built with solid plastic partitions and pilasters. These are the same partitions and pilasters used to build toilet stalls. Like toilet stalls, individual shower enclosures can configured in a variety of floor plan layouts. Options include, but are not limited, to corner configuration, between wall configuration, and free standing configurations. We recommend mounting partitions and pilasters in the floor-mounted, overhead braced style for maximum stability and privacy.
2. You choose group shower or individual shower fixtures.
While we are building individual shower stalls, shower fixtures do not necessarily have to be individual panel showers. Group showers can be subdivided into individual shower heads. If you are not sure which option is best for your facility, call us and let us sketch out a preliminary design for you that will examine each option from a cost/functionality perspective. We will also show you all of your options for both so you can make an informed decision as to what works best for you.
3. We custom manufacture solid plastic pilasters and panels.
We contact Bradley Corporation and have your partition panels custom manufactured to 72” in height. Standard toilet partitions are only 55” in height and leave a 12” gap between the bottom edge of the panel and the floor. We eliminate this by enlarging partition height and creating a private enclosure for each user that extends all the way to the floor on either side.
4. You choose between shower curtain or shower door.
Shower curtains can be hung from support rods that we mount between the pilasters. This is obviously more cost effective than mounting shower stall doors. In many cases as well, this is perfectly acceptable to users, who are used to taking a shower behind a curtain at home. For more high-end facilities, however, it is possible to build a shower enclosure with a door that is so private it can actually rival a home shower in terms of total privacy.
5. If you choose shower doors, we customize for no site privacy.
We customize the door to measure 72” in height so that it will match the shower stall panel. We also install a door jamb on the pilaster that closes the unsettling gap that exists between the doors and pilasters of standard toilet partitions. We can also upgrade hardware from aluminum to stainless steel, and we use continuous channel wall brackets to create no site privacy between panels and shower room walls.
